Review Requests and
Episode Sponsorships
Game reviews: Please note, I will not accept any fees or compensation for reviews, provided by Elka Games, as a brand entity, or myself, Kurt Karcher, in any form. If you would like me to review your game, please contact me via kurt@elkagames.com, and I will provide you shipping information, where you should send the game, as well as any promotional materials you wish to provide. Necessary time for a review can be anywhere from one to two weeks, depending on game complexity, as I do like to play the game enough times to have a thorough understanding of the rules and mechanics. I will ensure that each review provided is both fair and impartial, in all cases, and will do my best to provide a complete and accurate review. This may include contacting you if there are any necessary questions during the review process. If requested, I will certainly provide you with an advance version of the review, prior to publishing. In all cases, if a review is completed, with a copy provided by you, I will disclose this at the beginning of the review, so that transparency is provided. In the case of some of our older content, this disclosure is not provided, as I began by reviewing games already within my personal collection.
Episode Sponsorships: Sponsorship of “Between Turns” episodes are available, with a negotiable fee schedule, depending on the level of sponsorship requested. In all cases, sponsorship will be disclosed after the initial opening of the show, and prior to any proper show material. Please contact me via kurt@elkagames.com, and provide any ad copy you would like read as part of your sponsorship announcement. I will be in touch regarding available dates and associated fees. Please note, in regards to game review content, I will not provide a game review in the same week as episode sponsorship, so as to avoid any possible accusations of paid reviews. In addition, on the game review, I will disclose that the publisher has been a supporter of the “Between Turns” show, so that full transparency can be maintained.
